Krusty: Here's the plan. It's your standard Statue of Liberty play, with one exception: you throw the ball to me. Knute Rockne called it the forward pass.
(Groundskeeper Willy, in monster bagpipe form, rises out of the sandbox.)
Krusty: Uh-oh. Kid, don't dream about me no more.
Okay, maybe I don't like this game because I'm not a huge football fan. Still, I find it hard to imagine that any simulation of anything could be less like the act of playing football than this game.
Basically all you do in this game is select plays from a menu. Once you've selected a play, all the players go off and do their thing; you do get to control one player directly, but all I could ever accomplish was bumping into other players. It's not as if I could have helped my team much, though, seeing as I didn't know any of the plays and there are no descriptions available.
Maybe I'm just bitter because my passes were always intercepted.

Actually, this is a great game. I recently found my 1993 gateway and was able to boot it up and play this game. The key is to first establish the running game and then crush the computer with slant passes.Reply
